Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your Gardenia African Safaris guide. After a brief introduction and safari orientation, transfer to your family-friendly lodge—Arusha Villa or Planet Lodge—nestled in the peaceful outskirts of Arusha. These lodges offer spacious rooms and tranquil gardens, perfect for families to relax and refresh after a long flight. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a stroll around the property, swim in the pool, or simply rest as the excitement for your upcoming safari builds. A delicious dinner is served at the lodge’s restaurant, and your guide will brief you on the adventure ahead. Rest well tonight in the comfort of the Tanzanian highlands before tomorrow’s journey into the wild begins.
Day 2
Tarangire National Park – Game Drive
After breakfast, set off for Tarangire National Park, a scenic reserve known for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The park’s namesake river attracts large numbers of animals during the dry season, including zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and occasionally big cats like lions and leopards. Today’s full-day game drive allows your family to enjoy incredible wildlife sightings from the safety and comfort of your safari vehicle.
