After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive through rural villages and Maasai landscapes. Famous for its towering baobab trees and some of the largest elephant herds in East Africa, Tarangire offers outstanding wildlife viewing throughout the year. Upon entering the park, enjoy an exciting game drive across its diverse habitats, where you may encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, elands, and numerous bird species. The Tarangire River serves as a vital water source, attracting wildlife from across the region, particularly during the dry season. After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue your afternoon game drive before heading to Tarangire Elephant Springs for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay surrounded by the African wilderness.

Following breakfast, depart Tarangire and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the wildlife-rich Ndutu Conservation Area, located between the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro ecosystem. During the calving season, Ndutu becomes the focal point of the Great Migration as vast herds of wildebeest and zebras gather on the nutrient-rich short grass plains to give birth. Upon arrival, begin your first game drive in this remarkable landscape, where thousands of grazing animals are often accompanied by lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and jackals taking advantage of the seasonal abundance of prey. Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu Conservation Area
Spend the entire day exploring the spectacular Ndutu Conservation Area, one of the most exciting wildlife destinations during the Great Migration calving season. Between January and March, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather here to give birth, with thousands of calves born each day. This abundance of newborn animals attracts an extraordinary concentration of predators, creating exceptional opportunities to witness natural wildlife behavior and dramatic predator-prey interactions. Your experienced guide will take you across the vast plains, seasonal lakes, and acacia forests in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, elephants, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and countless bird species. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, allowing you to maximize your time in the field before continuing your afternoon exploration. Return to Lake Masek Tented Lodge in the evening for dinner and another overnight stay.

After breakfast, continue your safari into the Southern Serengeti, where the endless plains remain filled with migrating wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles during the calving season. This region provides excellent wildlife viewing throughout the day, with predators following the massive herds across the open grasslands. Enjoy a leisurely game drive while searching for lions resting on rocky kopjes, cheetahs scanning the plains, leopards hidden within acacia trees, and elephants moving peacefully through the savannah. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic location before continuing your afternoon exploration through one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife ecosystems. Arrive at Serengeti Woodland Camp in the late afternoon, where you can relax in comfortable surroundings, enjoy dinner, and spend the evening immersed in the sounds of the African bush.

Today is dedicated to a full-day safari in the Southern Serengeti, allowing ample time to explore one of the most productive wildlife regions during the migration season. The nutrient-rich short grass plains attract immense numbers of wildebeest, zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, Grant’s gazelles, and other herbivores, making this one of the best places in Africa to observe large predators in action. Throughout the day, your guide will follow recent wildlife movements and sightings, providing excellent opportunities to witness hunting behavior, family groups with newborn calves, and a remarkable diversity of wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive through the vast Serengeti ecosystem. As the day draws to a close, return to Serengeti Woodland Camp for dinner and your final night in the Serengeti.

Southern Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive as you leave the Southern Serengeti and travel toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend approximately 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth and one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. The crater floor supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife throughout the year, offering excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, jackals, wildebeests, zebras, flamingos, and numerous other species within this unique ecosystem. After enjoying a picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue your exploration before ascending the crater rim and driving to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, where breathtaking views over the crater provide the perfect setting for your final evening in Tanzania.
