Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Gardenia African Safaris guide will warmly welcome you. Enjoy a scenic drive to Arusha, nestled at the base of Mount Meru. Settle into Njiro Legacy Hotel, a quiet retreat ideal for rest after a long flight. Depending on arrival time, you may explore Arusha’s local markets or enjoy sunset views over coffee. This gateway city to the northern circuit offers a peaceful introduction to Tanzanian hospitality, with a mix of modern comfort and African charm. Dinner on your own or arranged at the lodge.
Day 2
Tarangire National Park + Mto wa Mbu Village
Depart after breakfast for a full-day safari in Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Game drive through savannahs dotted with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and possibly leopards or lions lounging in the shade. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. After the game drive, continue to Mto wa Mbu, a culturally vibrant town at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. Day 3
Ngorongoro Highlands to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, ascend through the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, passing through Maasai villages and dramatic landscapes. En route, stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife haven. Have a picnic lunch at Nabi Gate and begin your first game drive in the park. Look out for lions, elephants, gazelles, and the beginning of the wildebeest migration depending on the season. Overnight at Tumbling Public Campsite in Central Serengeti. Day 4
Full Day in Serengeti National Park

After brunch, exit the park and drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to traditional Maasai people and dramatic landscapes. Enjoy dinner prepared by your cook and watch the mist roll over the rim as animals graze nearby.
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater Safari + Return
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest inactive caldera.
