Day 1
Arrival in Arusha – Tulia Hotel
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Gardenia Safaris representative and transferred to Tulia Boutique Hotel in Arusha. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is Tanzania’s safari capital and a vibrant gateway to the northern circuit. Tulia Hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere with comfortable rooms, a garden lounge, and great local cuisine—ideal for unwinding after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Arusha town, visit a local market, or enjoy a relaxing dinner at the hotel. Your guide will meet you for a short safari briefing, answer your questions, and prepare you for the adventure ahead. Enjoy a restful night, surrounded by the serenity of Arusha, before setting off into the wild landscapes of Tanzania the next morning

Day 2
Tarangire National Park – Overnight at Migombani Campsite, Mto wa Mbu
After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, about two hours from Arusha. Famous for its ancient baobab trees, dramatic scenery, and dense elephant populations, Tarangire is a hidden gem with a truly wild atmosphere. Keep your eyes open for lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species. You’ll enjoy a scenic picnic lunch inside the park with sweeping views of the savannah and the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. In the afternoon, continue your game drive before heading to Migombani Campsite near Mto wa Mbu, a lively town nestled between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Rise early for a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas. The crater is home to nearly 30,000 animals, including black rhinos, lions, hyenas, hippos, elephants, and large herds of buffalo and wildebeest. It’s a photographer’s dream and offers close-up views of wildlife in a breathtaking, enclosed ecosystem. After a morning game drive and picnic lunch near a hippo pool, you’ll ascend from the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha. Upon arrival, you’ll meet with a Gardenia Safaris representative to review your journey and assist with any final arrangements. Depending on your travel plans, you’ll be transferred either to Zanzibar for beach relaxation or back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international departure.
